Hello and welcome back!
Today's lesson is camera equipment, and originally when I started researching for this I saw a BUNCH of fancy cameras being listed. And I'll be honest, that scared me a little and I started searching everywhere for a camera rental shop near me; then I looked at the prices and decided my camera is more than satisfactory (hopefully).
Though now I am a little bit too aware of the stakes i'm up against, so I hopped on amazon and found a few attachments that I'm hoping to buy. I wanted to get a microphone attachment because I'm very nervous about my camera's audio, and a stabilizer because i'm going to be filming overhead and I don't want it to be shaky. I'm still not entirely sure on the logistics of how it will work but I will figure it out.
I'm also going to be using a tripod that I already have from AMBICO and my Canon EOS Rebel T6I. I'm going to be honest with you, before now I had no idea how to really use this camera but after watching some youtube channels I now know how to use it to capture the shots I want.
The videos below were very helpful when it comes to learning about the equipment. The taught me about IOS, aperture, shutter speed, resolution/ frame rate, exposure, etc. These videos also confirmed that I will probably want to invest in a mic since the audio on this camera is not the best because it doesn't have an external microphone.
Anywho, I also learned about white balance and how I can customize it to fit the shot so now I can capture different tones by using color theory. Ex: when Viv comes back to the playground I could manipulate the scene to be more blue to convey a sad or depressed tone.
I hope you guys enjoyed this lesson today because I did, I actually had a lot of fun messing around with the settings, and now I feel a little bit more confident about filming.
XOXO,

P.S I later realized that I would need to get some lights because of how dark its is, so I did and I will put the link down below.
