OWF project

 For this project, we were told to create a one minute video using only editing techniques and visuals to convey the word we were assigned. We had learned about editing techniques during the previous class and were now expected to present them to show our understanding. For me and my partner, the word we got was ‘relieved’. So, for our project we planned a short excerpt of a girl who hadn’t known she had a test, and anxiously took it. As a result, she got an ‘A+’; leaving her relieved. 

Moreover, to go about this assignment, we spent the first day brainstorming and preparing our ideas for filming. We often added and removed pieces we didn’t like or that we thought wouldn’t convey the correct message. However, we were pleased with our final storyboard and it helped us to achieve a clear picture of what we wanted to communicate. 

Furthermore, during the editing process we used techniques like cutaways, eye-line matches, and graphic match ups. To edit our project we used Adobe Express, which was fairly simple to use. 

Overall, I was very proud of our project and the editing; however, I had trouble with the graphic match ups and creating a clean transition between frames. Other than that, I’d say our project was pretty good considering we haven’t done something like this before.
